I've been searching for delicate, simple solitaire settings in the Chicago jeweler district without much luck. Thought the experts on pricescope might be able to help me. I'm a petite girl, wears size 0 clothes and size 4 rings. Somehow, most of the engagement rings that look great on display appears very thick/tall/big on my finger. My boyfriend has bought a 1.58ct H&A H SI1 diamond, but we could not find a suitable setting for it I'm hoping to find a simple solitaire with very low setting and very thin band. Ideally, the design would be classic (not antique) or contemporary, the prongs would look delicate, and the sides of the ring would not protrude to my adjacent fingers. Do you think this is doable under a $1,000 budget? If not, what alternatives would I have? Thanks so much for your advice... ![]() |

Hey there, Whiteflash ( www.whiteflash.com ) has a wonderful selection of settings that you can look at. I chose the attached setting because it looks set low to the finger with not too wide a band, but you can go from there. http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Fine-Line-Platinum-Solitaire-by-Le_691.htm#here That is platinum and $650, but they have many different solitaire style for under $1K. Good luck and let us know what you pick out : ) I wish you well, Bridget Pterodactyls rule. Except for the whole being extinct thing. |

Hey ![]() We bought my engagement ring at the Robbins store, so we had a chance to look at many of the rings and prices. While there were some really expensive things, there were also many very reasonably priced ones (especially under 1,000) If you find some you like, you can call and ask for prices - they are very nice and helpful. It's worth a shot! They gave us a great deal. I take it you've looked around your area?

Hi try this one. http://www.niceice.com/jewelry/knife_edge_solitaires.htm
It's a replica of the 6 prong Tiffany setting. I have small hands also and I wanted something that wouldn't over power the stone. But I didn't want to pay Tiffany prices. Good Luck!
