I know it's a blind guess if I don't provide the Pavillion/Crown, but any opinions are greatly appreciated! Does it look like a good choice? Also, does anyone know if Diamond.com will provide the pav/crown...or even sarin report? 0.80/G/VS1 Cut: Ideal Pol/Sym: EX/EX Depth: 67.7 Table: 70 Girdle: MED Culet: Non Measurements: 5.26 x 5.27 x 3.57 Thanks everyone! I love this site & the help you guys provide - helps guys like me who are trying to give their future wives a great ring know more about the stones, etc... |

I'd be curious which lab graded the diamond, and who assigned the "Ideal" designation. The EX/EX polish and symmetry is a good sign, as usually the care it takes to attain these grades are not wasted on mediocre stones. I wouldn't take that to the bank, but it's a positive indicator. The table is wider than the depth. This sometimes creates a light leakage situation, but it's impossible to tell from the information supplied. An IdealScope photo would be a big help in determining if that's the situation. Medium girdle is always nice... As far as the vendor providing pavilion & crown information, or a sarin report, I would think that they would if they were prodded, and thought you were seriously considering the stone. It's not an unreasonable request, by any means. If you're considering plunking down thousands of dollars for their product, I would think it's the least they could do. You know what ? there are four of five diamodns very, very close to this one in proportions and grades ( meaning 0.8-0.82 cts, G/VS1 clarity, 65-68% depth, 69-71% table) listed here, and they are all about 4k. Yours gets listed below 3k... and I definitely like that part. Otherwise, it's just $30 more for an Ideal Scope to know a decent amount about light return and this is it ![]() Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen." The stone is GIA certified. That's one of the reasons I thought it was a decent stone. I also did notice that the table was a bit bigger than the depth, which I've heard is a no-no. But does it make a huge difference? What if they're the same?
