Can someone help me with the sizes of melees? 1. Physical dimension of a 0.02ct 2. Physical dimension of a 0.03ct 3. Physical dimension of a 0.05ct 4. Physical dimension of a 0.10ct I need the measurements to make a final decision as to the quantity of stones and size that would best fit the look I am aiming for. Thanks.

1. Physical dimension of a 0.02ct = ~1.7mm 2. Physical dimension of a 0.03ct = ~2.0mm 3. Physical dimension of a 0.05ct = ~2.4mm 4. Physical dimension of a 0.10ct = ~3.0mm |

now HERE'S a dumb question: when a jeweler talks about pave being done with "half pointers", "one pointers" and "one a half pointers", is that .05, .10 and .15, or .005, .01 and .015? i am so clueless.

The latter. 0.10 is a "ten pointer," so 0.01 is a "one pointer."

Half pointer = 0.005 ct 1 pointer = 0.01 ct One & a pointer = 0.015 ct 2 pointer = 0.02 ct 3 pointer = 0.03 ct 5 pointer = 0.05 ct 10 pointer = 0.10 ct Does that make sense now?
