Hi all, I've been mostly lurking here for the past month while I educated myself (thanks to this site & forum), and tried to narrow down my search for a diamond to go in my fiancee-to-be's engagement ring. I would love any and all opinions on these stones. The setting is a Ritani 3-stone in white gold. I've narrowed the stone down to the following four choices: 1) 1.39 VS2 H, GIA, HCA=0.9, $8632 1.39 VS2 H NOTE: My computer choked on this link for some reason, but when afterwards I went to the URL in the browser and hit enter, it came up fine. 2) 1.27 SI1 G, GIA, HCA=1.2, $7276, 1.27 SI1 G 3) 1.258 SI1 G, AGS, HCA=1.4, $6688 1.258 SI1 G 4) 1.54 SI2 H, AGS, HCA=1.8, $9063, 1.54 SI2 H The SI1's and SI2's are described as "eye clean" by the respective vendors. So what do you think? Thanks! Aargh |

Do not under any circumstance buy the Whiteflash diamonds.

My favorites are #2 and #3. I'd discard #1 out of this lineup because the pavilion angle really is rather shallow -I'd keep it at 40.5 or above, if it were me. #4 Might be nice too, but I like the IS image on #3 better, and also the fact that I can see the inclusions on #4's IS image makes me doubt just how eye clean it is. It might be great, but I'd want pics and more reassurance with that one. All in all, you seem to have a fantastic final lineup!

I'd throw out #3 and #4 (the Whiteflash stones) because it says they're sold.

Any more opinions?? By the way, the Whiteflash Diamonds show up as "sold" because they're "on hold".
