what type of cut is this princess diamond? |

I just purchased a 2.5 carat princess diamond. EGL USA certified diamond. I would like to know if this is a premium, good, or just fair cut? thanks... clarity: SI2 color: J Depth: 72.2% table: 72% crown: 6.4% pavilion: 45.5% girdle: thick/ex.thick cutlet: none finish: good

There really isn't much we can tell you without knowing whether the stone is eye clean or how the color looks in person (including whether the stone faces up white). What I can tell you is your diamond probably faces up smaller than it should because of the thick girdle. Also, you really want to have a crown of at least 10% to have the most fire (colored light) possible. Finally, while good is fine for polish and symmetry, I look for stones with at least very good ratings. If you go to Dave Atlas's Website you can determine for yourself the cut of this stone.
