Anyone know anything about these guys out of Philly? They have a .5ct total weight princess cut pair of stud earrings (FG, VS1) available right now (with 4 hours left) available at a very cheap price (not so cheap it's scary, but slightly less than available for the same size at a pricescope vendor). If anyone said they were great, I might consider bidding in the last minute at this good price--they do have what they say is a return policy. Any thoughts?

Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4917625969

If that doesn't work, the item number is 4917625969.

For comparison sake, a vendor from PS has a .5 pair for $555. Any info you can offer will be SO helpful!

I have heard to many horror stories about jewelry bought on Ebay. I'd go with the ps vendor.

You think that should serve as a red flag? If you go back more than two years on this company's feedback it looks like they may have been one of the major culprits in the Tiffany/ebay fiasco. They sold a lot of it and quite a few buyers had complaints. In the last year, they've had very few negatives. Are 98% of ebay buyers pretty stupid (I would have to fall into the "stupid" category as well)? Should I just spend the fifty extra dollars with a company you all (or at least a lot of you)say I can trust?

We are directly accross the street from these guys.  They are the ones who had a problem with counterfeit Tiffany & Co items, but they are not simply bad guys.  Ethics is not alwys a black & white issue.  They were part of a stupid affair and it probably it will cost them a lot of money.  Meanwhile they seem like they are doing other things with lots of folks in a normal and satisfactory manner.

I doubt you will be dissappointed if you are reasonable.  I would ask them directly why it says F in one place and F/G in another. If it was me, I'd just assume G and see how that value worked.  If it is okay at G, then no problem.  It is likely that F is on the strong side or what even they think...and they are hinting at it, the way I see it.

Thanks for the advice, "oldminer" and "hammer." I went ahead and purchased a pair from one of the vendors here instead of going with PA D Exch. I may have saved money had I gone with them, but I figured if they can cheat on the Tiffany stuff then they are capable of cheating at any time. I feel confident going with a company you all say is a good one. Thanks so much for providing this forum to newbies like me--I've learned a lot and had great fun while making my decision.
