 		Is there a way to look up a GIA number to get the specs online?

 		I don't think so. I just took a look at the site again, and was unable to find such a tool. So far, I've only seen this at EGL-USA and AGA. It would be nice, wouldn't it? Those grainy faxed certs are mostly useless, and then there are the places that don't even have those available...

I think the problem is that they are concerned that this data will be used to make counterfeit reports and as a result they are very careful about access to their database.
