I realize the best way for me to tell if I will like this diamond, is for me to see it, since it is an emerald cut. But just want to know what you guys think of these numbers: EC H VS1 measurements: 8.62 x 6.37 x 4.27 depth: 67.2% table: 62.0% crown angle: 35.2 crown height: 12.3% pavil angle: 59.6 pavil depth: 52.1% girdle: 2.7% culet: 1.3% polish: gd sym: vg no fluor Thanks for any input you can give regarding these specs! ![]() |

Cut: Emerald Table % 62 Grade: 1A Crown Height % 12.3 Grade: 1A Girdle Thickness Medium to Slightly thick Grade: 1A Total Depth % 67 Grade: 2B Polish / Symmetry Good Grade: 1A * Not a primary determining factor. Final Grade: 1B This is what running the stone through the AGA Do It Yourself, DIY, cut class calculator gives...... It reads well. Now, does it look good to you in comparison to others? Comparing is a very important part of buying a fancy shape. Beauty is highly subjective. David S. Atlas |

Thanks Mr. Atlas! I had plugged in the numbers on your site, and thought it was a 1B, but wasn't sure if the pavillion info would make a difference. Thanks for the speedy response, I hope this is one I will be able to see! ![]()

Here's a gem file I generated using the dimensions/proportions you list. You can compare the cut grading against other stones we've scanned in for a comparison.

Cool. Were you able to open the file? While we use this tool to do preliminary checks for clients we help there are other factors not taken into account (ie. minor facet cutting) which impacts the optics as well. It's more of a "rough idea" and of course not as exact as examing the diamond first hand but it's certainly better than nothing. Hope that helped. Kind regards, Rhino |

Yes, very cool indeed! Mine didn't have great light return mono/stereo (good,good-poor), so that kinda scares me, but again, it's an EC, I don't expect it to go "bling, bling" but I do want a great cut. It is a 1B on AGA, so I will just wait until Monday when the pics will be emailed to me, and go from there..in the meantime, I will just play some more on the GemAdviser ![]() Thanks Rhino!
