Picked up my e-ring today! It is beautiful. I want to thank all of you who offered your guidance on which stone to purchase. Special thanks to Jonathan for truly offering the "ultimate diamond information site" and other vendors such as Dutton Diamonds and USA Certed for quick responses to my inquiries. The more I learned about diamonds the harder finding the right diamond became but I am ultimately happy with my decision. She is going to love it!

I ended up with a 1.76ct G Vs1 Brilliant Round in a platinum setting with a tapered baguettes on each side totaling another .5ct. The center diamond is an ideal cut, registering 1.3 on the HCA and a 1A on the DIY Cut Grade scale. I can even see the Arrows without the scope!

Now to finish the proposal plan!

The plan is to head to the Berkshires in Western MA August 14th for a weekend of hiking, Tanglewood and Spa treatment. I booked a room at a nice B&B and I am arranging a nice picnic dinner for the Tangelwood Boston Pops concert. Some time during the weekend when I feel the moment is right, I'll present the ring and ask the big question.
