Can anyone recommend a good place to go to sell an antique diamond wedding ring? I live in San Francisco. I've heard that e-bay is a good place, but I have no selling history there, so I don't think that I'd get a good price. Are there any brick-and-mortar stores that are good? Thanks.

You can try the auction on this site. It's just getting started, but there is no fee and you can give it a shot. In a brick and mortar store, you can either consign the ring or just sell it straight out. Consigning could possibly be a better deal, but get everything in writing. Auction would probably be your best bet, unless you're willing to advertise in the paper and meet buyers, etc. I don't know of any stores in your area that are especially good for private sellers.
