Hi, I have a beautiful anniversary ring that I got from my grandmother some 16years ago. She has since passed away so I can't ask her about it. The band is marked 14KP. Can anyone tell me what that means? Thanks,

14kt gold plated? I think platinum will be PT but I just saw that you wrote this is your grandmother's ring so perhaps they marked jewelry different then... So the answer is: I don't know I'm sorry.

Actually it's not an old ring, my grandmother was a jeweler and she set the ring about 16 years ago, so that's how old it is. It has taken a lot of wear and has lost none of it's lustre. Also, I neglected to say it's white gold. Up next to my platinum ring, it's practically indistinguishable. Thank you for the input.
