Thanks for all the great info on this site, its made the diamond hunt a joy.

I am considering this diamond from whiteflash.com, please share your opinions:

1.11 ct., G, SI1, AGS0, A Cut Above (H&A) $6313

Dpt 60.7%
Tbl 56.0%
Crn 35.0 degrees
Pav 40.6 degrees
Gdl 0.9% - 1.6%
Cutlet 0.5%

This measures a 0.7 on the HCA... but I was checking out the sarin report and the numbers are slightly different:

Dpt 60.9%
Tbl 55.6%
Crn 34.9 degrees (34.8 - 35)
Pav 40.8 degrees (40.6 - 40.9)
Gdl 1.0% - 1.5%
Cutlet 0.5%

Running these numbers on the HCA returns a 1.4, which is still respectable. Should I be concerned about the descrepency in the numbers? I found this is true with most of the diamonds Ive looked at that post their sarin reports.

Thanks for the help!
-Jeff

Very small discrepencies in the numbers are expected -- the machines aren't perfect. This is one of the reasons why the HCA is used to weed out over/under 2-scording stones. It looks just fine, and has every chance to be a stunning stone. Have you seen it yet?

Looks like a good stone, whichever way the numbers go. It's normal to see that kind of discrepancy, from what I've looked at. Have you seen pictures or an IS image? That should help set your mind at ease.

Thanks for the replies...

I figured it was just an issue of measurement accuracy, but it never hurts to ask the experts

I have seen the ideal scope image and it looks fantastic. I also asked them for pictures of the hearts pattern and arrows pattern, just to be safe. The AGS report looks good, but I should ask them if the stone is eye clean too. Im not able to see the diamond in person, because Texas is a long trip from Pennsylvania.

Heres the link to the stone if you're curious:
