only difference i can see is the flourecence and cullet, i have no idea what either of these things really mean to the appearence of a diamond. any help would be appreciated. would it make a 700 dollar difference to go with the second diamond?

Hm... that "strong" fluorescence explains the price difference well enough.

As a rule, stones with AGS's seal of approval (AGS0 cut grade that is) would be priced higher. However, both diamonds are called "Ideal cut" by BN - so the AGSL certificate may not have been a factor at all.


Not that the price is very low to begin with. At least relative to competing offers - such as this 0.85cts F-VS2 and this 0.9cts G-VS2 I could locate in about 30 seconds

wow i really love that Gvs2 you posted, it might be my new favorite. thanks valeria101!

if anyone would like to have a go at helping me find some .80 and larger ideals (or close) for less or around $4k i would really appreciate some links. I am still really new to this and i will keep looking myself.
