My diamond was supposed to have a GIA Certificate, which is stated on the sellers in house appraisal, along with the GIA reg. no. It is also listed on the invoice from the seller. When we went to pick up the diamond after being set, we forgot to get the Certificate. This was 4 years ago. I now have been informed by my insurance company that I have to have the GIA certificate for them or they will drop the insurance. I have contacted the original retailer/wholesaler and am not getting any help. Is there some way I can get a copy if I have the registration number? If anyone can help me, I'd sure appreciate it. Call GIA GTL (CA 760-603-4500 or NYC 212-221-5858), give them the cert # and ask them how to obtain a copy...it shouldn't be a problem, but it will cost you about $40. |
