Hello Again, I was visiting my girlfriend in Arizona (soon to be fiance) and I peeked a look at a modern bride magizine that she got. I noticed that see bookmarked a page from a designer called Natalie K. Seems like she likes the style of the rings and I'm wondering if anyone here know if they are a good designer. Here's a picture of the rings she liked. Find good designs from other companies would work for me too. Thanks

Natalie K makes some beautiful settings, but they can be a bit pricey. Have you checked out the PS vendors to see the settings they have? If not, check these out: http://www.whiteflash.com http://www.goodoldgold.com http://www.niceice.com/ http://www.diamondsandgems.com

Thanks for the help, Yeah, I checked out some of the on-line retailers. I checked superbcert and whiteflash, but they didn't have the style I wanted. However, I'm sure goodoldgold probably has a unique setting like that. I'm really interested in going with them. The only problem is that I already have the diamond, but no ring . What's your opinion on sending a diamond through the mail? How much does it costs and does anyone have personal experience with it?

The costs really aren't that bad. I think we got our diamond insured for $25000, and to send it to WF in Houston from Southern California (insured with signature required), it cost about $50. It was scary sending the ring, but the vendors give you special directions on how to pack your stone so it's safe. Something else to consider is sending your photos to an online vendor and having them make your setting. I worked with WF for both my diamond and setting, and they were THE BEST!!! Because of the size of my stone, finger size, and desire to keep the shank narrow, they had to make a semi-custom setting for me. I was really scared about how it would turn out, but it's BEAUTIFUL!!! I get compliments daily So, this may be a way to go.Although I have not worked with GOG, Jonathan is great--you can't go wrong with him or any of the PS vendors!

Sounds good. I got the diamond from Superbcert, but I'm still searching for the ring. They are holding on to the ring until I move to Arizona (My special request). I'm just still searching my options until I decide on what setting I want. There are a few Vatche settings that Superbcert has that I like and might go with, but I'm taking my time deciding. Still sounds really weird working if two on-line retailers if I choose to do that. I'll contact Barry when his office re-opens and see if it's possible for him to make a custom setting. Thanks, Mark

They're a great company too, so you really can't go wrong. Hopefully they'll be able to make you a custom setting for much less than Natalie K! Good luck!

Those bezel set pear sides would not be easy to find in a matching design - at least not on the list of models I can remember of off hand. The other one looks rather feasible - just a three stone with some undercarriage work. This may be just my bias at work, but the style looks much like Sheldon Speyer or Landy might do. Both can be ordered off a catalog, so there would be no need to ship the stone to yet another seller. Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen." I just checked out some Sheldon Speyer settings. They are exactly what it seems she is looking for and they are within my spending. I really like some of there ruby/diamond setting combinations. I'm sure she would love a setting like that.
