Hey everyone! Thanks so much for all of your help. My girlfriend would NOT have ended up with this kind of a E-ring without all of your advice, and I just know she'll love it. I would describe her as fun, trendy, and hip but not modern or contemporary. With the square cut (a very unique "Radiant Princess" with facets from both styles) straight prongs, and clean lines, I really really think it fits her personality and sense of style.

Here the specs:

1.71 ct J SI1
Dimensions: 6.92 x 6.60 x 4.70
Depth %: 71.2
Table %: 80%
Crown: 6.0%
Pavilion Depth: 60%

Girdle: Medium to Thick polished
Polish: Good
Symmetry: Good
Cutlet: None
Fluorescence: Faint

Oooooh!  YAY!!!!  Congrats on the lovely ring you purchased!  I would LOVE to see some more pictures of the stone head on, so we can see the cracked glass look head-on!

Also a very lovely setting!  LOVE IT!

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! A SQUARE radiant is my dream--I didn't think they existed! I love it!!!!

And the clean setting is perfect to show off that stunner! And so white!

AND.... just for Nicrez and all the other fans of radiants, here is a face-up shot, as best as I could take it with my hands still a bit shaky with excitement and anticipation!

Now I just have to make it through the LONGEST 2 1/2 weeks of my life....... < sigh >

I'll come back and post some more pics showing it on her finger, along with "THE STORY" - assuming she says yes - in a few weeks.
Any suggestions on passing the time until then?

Thanks again for all the help,
-- diamond_noob

Wow, it's gorgeous!

Hmm...how to pass the time? You can keep taking pictures of the ring and posting them. We never get tired of looking at them.

Here is one last pic of the ring on my sister's hand (she is helping me pull of the whole surprise) but this gives you some idea of scale. - diamond_noob

Thanks for the extra picurtures!!!  What a lovely ring!!  I also noticed that it's almost just like Colleen's ring (aka CMCWILL) here, where she had a nice square radiant/princess cut, just like yours!  Always nice to see all types of different stones!

Definately a unique cut with the princess cut on the pav and the cut corners like a radiant.  Allows for those well defined and percise sparkles Colleen's gets.... great for those who like princess cuts, with the benefit of the safer cut corners!  Totally a unique look!

I hope you can part with that lovely ring long enough to give it to your intended!!   Do tell us the story!

Best of luck to you both and enjoy the lovely sparklies!!!

For an interesting "stump the expert" thread on whether this is a square radiant or a princess with cut corners, see this thread over in RockyTalky.

It seems to have both a center like a Princess but the cracked glass look of a radiant... hmmm....
