Thanks to everyone for posting such helpful information. I’m looking to buy an engagement ring online from a reputable dealer often mentioned in this forum. The price including band is around $7,000. More importantly, my girlfriend loves how it looks online. It has a VS1 oval center stone, 1.67ct, VG cut, VG symmetry, VG polish, depth 64.2%, table 58%, length/width ratio 1.30, J color with a medium to very thick girdle. I’ve read here about the potential bowtie effect, and I’m assured that there is none upon visual inspection. I’d appreciate any comments on whether there are other considerations I should be thinking of before I purchase. Thanks, Gram
