Has anyone ever seen a ring with heart-shaped surprise diamonds? Or, filigree hearts under the centre stone, with a round surprise diamond inside?

Here is a ring with gold hearts in a "surprise" type setting. I'm sure an experienced jeweler could replace these with diamonds instead. I know I have seen settings with filigree hearts under the center stone as well. Have you checked out www.tradeshop.com. There are quite a few like this at that site, but you have to sort through a ton of pics to find them.

Tacori has several designs with hearts under the center stone. I believe you can request surprise diamonds, but you'd have to check with a Tacori dealer to be sure. (I'm not sure how expensive they would be -- the simple designs are not that expensive at all.)

I have not, but this could easily be done with a custom ring... Some of the designs at Jewelryexpert incorporate creative "surprises" liek this - either diamonds or small metal carvings (EXAMPLE1 and ANOTHER). Tradeshop seems to abide by the same philosophy and I would definitely ask about the option ![]() Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen." Thanks so much for replying! In my searching I've found many rings with gold/platinum hearts under the centre stone, but all the surprise diamonds I've found are round. I figured if I went that route it would have to be a custom job, but I thought it was worth asking to see if anyone had seen pictures.
