Has anyone ever seen a ring with heart-shaped surprise diamonds? Or, filigree hearts under the centre stone, with a round surprise diamond inside?

Here is a ring with gold hearts in a "surprise" type setting.  I'm sure an experienced jeweler could replace these with diamonds instead.  I know I have seen settings with filigree hearts under the center stone as well.  Have you checked out www.tradeshop.com.  There are quite a few like this at that site, but you have to sort through a ton of pics to find them.

Tacori has several designs with hearts under the center stone. I believe you can request surprise diamonds, but you'd have to check with a Tacori dealer to be sure. (I'm not sure how expensive they would be -- the simple designs are not that expensive at all.)

I have not, but this could easily be done with a custom ring... Some of the designs at Jewelryexpert incorporate creative "surprises" liek this - either diamonds or small metal carvings (EXAMPLE1 and ANOTHER). Tradeshop seems to abide by the same philosophy and I would definitely ask about the option

Thanks so much for replying! In my searching I've found many rings with gold/platinum hearts under the centre stone, but all the surprise diamonds I've found are round. I figured if I went that route it would have to be a custom job, but I thought it was worth asking to see if anyone had seen pictures.
