Experts what do you use to clean your loupe?
I just bought one and when the hinge was oiled they got a little carried away and got some on the lense.
Whats the best way to clean it without scrathing the lense?

For those that might be interested it is a selsi 416 10x on one end and 15x on the other.
14.95 at a coin shop.

Other than the oil spots on one lense it seems to work very well.

Related question:
What is the best light to loupe diamonds in?
Bright white light worked really well for my rubies but the diamond "sparkle" interfered with looking into it.
I tried bright fluorescent and had the same problem dim fluorescent and there wasn’t enough light to see into it.

We have a lense cleaner kit that came with one of the loupes we bought. It looks like a lense cleaning kit for eyeglasses. A little bottle of cleaning solution that you spritz on the lense. And fine tissue to clean and dry with that won't scratch the lense.

There are also lense cleaning clothes. The clothes are soft material that aren't supposed to scratch the lense. They've been treated with a chemical that cleans and has anti static properties. Lint won't stick to the lense after cleaning.

Why use a big word when a diminutive word would be succinct!
