Jax172 Cut Rock Total Posts: 247 Last Post: 4/28/2008 Member Since: 3/11/2002	Hey there all! I am new! I have a question. My fiance adores the ideal cut half carat solitare he gave me. He loves the sparkle. As an engagement gift for him, I am looking into getting him a loose, quarter carat diamond, to have set in the jewelry of his choice at a later date. I don't want the stone bigger than a quarter carat because he is not into big flashy jewelry for himself. I am looking for an ideal cut round, must be from D to H in color and VS1 to SI1 in clarity. So far the best price I have found is on Blue Nile for $390.00 for an I color Ideal cut VS 2 clarity. IS this a good price, or can I find a better value elsewhere? The problem seems to be that most online retaliers I have visited do not seem to carry the smaller stones. Any suggestions on where I may find a better selection of quarter carats? Or should I just go with Blue Nile? Many Thanks!
