Hi, I've been consulting this site for some time, but this is my first post. I am about to purchase a 1.01 carat pear-shaped diamond (E, Vs2), and I am looking for someone to make a setting for me. My soon-to-be-fiance loves the very thin Michael B. platinum rings with a single row of pavee composing the band. Please help me to find someone capable of making this setting, or at least a picture of it with a pear-shaped stone so that I can show it to a jeweler. I work in both Houston and New Orleans, so it would help if I can find someone in the South to make the ring. Thanks So Much, BJay Durrett BJay Durrett LSU Law Baton Rouge, Louisiana |

The only pictures I have been able to find on the web are from pearlman's jewelers. They have quite a few styles there - but I don't recall any set with a pear. Maybe you can use one of those. http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/designermain.asp Michael B. I think tell's retailers not to picture his work on the internet -- so it's difficult to find pics. hope that helps! Laney |

pick up almost any bridal mag and MB's stuff has an ad in there, sometimes its a 2 page spread. he does have a pear option i thought, on his pave band. did you check into that with the stores? someone on here actually DID get a MB pave ring with a pear I think...you may want to surf through the Show me the Ring archives, I recall something like that.
Keep doing your homework, but if you can't find it with MB's line, he may be willing to make it...you can call him directly in S. California, he has an office there. Or find someone to replicate it.
Good luck!

I've seen the pictures at Pearlmans. Those are the best I have found as well. I'm sure they'll be good enough. Thanks for the prompt reply.

Thanks Mara. Michael B does make the pavee rings with a pear as the center stone, but it's hard to find a picture of it. I need the picture to have someone make it for me. I'll look through some bridal mags as you suggested.
