Hi, I am trying to save money in the color area so I can spend more in cut. I want a 14k white gold setting. What is the lowest color diamond I should look at. I have a good eye for color, so if it looks bad I will know. off topic, Do you have to be a goldsmith/jeweler to be a jewelry designer? Jackie S. aislingmaire@aol.com

I'm guessing that you could be very happy with an H color in an excellent cut like an eightstar. I don't think one has to be a goldsmith/jeweler to be a jewelry designer. :)
