Oh Wow! With all the possible scenarios of auto racing mishaps..promo or not, this seems so foolish to even take a chance with something of this beauty and value! Or is this just my Mom (you should know better)sense taking over?

Conspiracy theory: there was no diamond in the car, the car supposed to be crashed, buzz is all over the world, promotional mission accomplished.

How can an 108-ct diamond be the size of a shirt button? "Jaguar has offered a new X-series car worth $45,000 to anyone who returns the diamond, which is about the size of a shirt button."

Definately a case where the setting is more expensive than the main stone!

so the diamond is supposedly worth $322k and they want you to return it for a $45k car? Uhh..NO? Plus I'd rather keep the diamond.

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard of in a long time! What were they thinking in the first place? Let's ruin a 108 ct diamond by adhering it to a car! I'm sorry, but I don't buy it....

Something is wrong with the numbers!! My guess is that the stone is 10.8ct., not 108ct! Anyway, it was a pretty stupid idea - I wonder which stupid insurance Co. will have to pay up for this? - Perhaps it wasn't insured at all!...then it was a REALLY stupid idea!!
