....and I'm in love! I went to my local jeweler which turns out to be the second store (after GOG) in the US that carries this. I could not believe my eyes. It is definitely a beautiful square cut diamond. It was about .40 and they only had one in the store but they just got this in a few days ago. I feel really honored to be able to see this in person. I definitely want to get one after I've saved up some money!

Where's your jeweler? Wink is also going to carry them AND looks like he has the OK to cut Jubilee CZ!

The jeweler is Geoffrey's and is located in San Carlos, California in the SF Bay Area. I found Geoffrey's through the poster Openhelix (who just proposed) who got his Regent from GOG and had it set at Geoffrey's.

I'm more of a RB girl, but the more I see the square cuts (Jubilee, Asscher) the more I want them....I am definitely going to save up some money and get me a stone (or two!)

I didn't think the Ascher did anything for me either, until I saw it in person. That is a gorgeous stone. There is no shortage of brilliance in an Ascher.

I don't see why you can't get a few... you have 10 fingers right? My GF, however, is cut off after this... at least for awhile!

I was totally drooling over the Jubilee yesterday....so pretty. I was amazed at how gorgeous it was! I do hope you get a chance to take a look.

Heh heh....another pinky ring sounds nice, but I think I'm OK for now! I don't know how long they'll be able to keep it in stock. I honestly don't think that anybody really knows about it yet, since I was the *only* customer who has even heard of it! I asked the price but they said that they just got it in an had no idea.

Take a look at it next week when you go in! I am so tempted to have them get some Asschers for me to look at, but I have to be a good girl about it so I might wait a little bit.

oooh I may have to take a little trip over there and meet Greg for lunch (he works in San Mateo) one day...

Curious, what were the color/clarity specs on the .40c Jubilee and what was the cost?

Hi Mara (and anyone else who wants to know)

I called Geoffrey's and here are the specs:

0.47
F color
VS1

Table: 62.4%
Crown: 34.3%
Pavilion: 42.9%
Depth: 65.2%
$1920

I *think* the proportions are correct, they faxed over the report and the numbers are blurry....my fax machine is on the fritz...

HTH someone!

Mara,

If you go meet Greg in San Mateo, San Carlos is really close! If you go, tell me what you think of the Jubiliee!

I've got to get over there. Mara, maybe our next Bay Area get-together can be a field trip to Geoffrey's!

I don't think Geoffrey would mind diamond lovers like us - he really is a character and very entertaining

A field trip sounds like a great idea!

Bling -

I'm not quite sure if they still have it, I haven't been there since...oh last week! I have a feeling they still do...nobody really knows about the Jubilee *just* yet (at least around in our area) but you could still go in and take a look (and get your ring cleaned while you're at it!).

I loved the Jubliee. It was a beautiful stone....and I want one! (after I get my Asscher some day....priorities!)

Not sure if they're going to be flexible on the price, though. It doesn't hurt to ask! Maybe you should drop by at lunch and take a look at it and let me know what you think!

oooh...stopped by there on my lunch hour..and woowee...so nice! you were right about the price..and they are pretty firm on it. its a good size for a pendent..but the hard part would be finding a nice way to show off the shape. sure was nice though...its got me thinkin'!

Well, ya know...a gal can't have too many diamonds, right? I think that the Jubilee would make a great pendant if you got one, you'd be the first on PS to have a Jubilee pendant, right?
