WOW. That looks just awesome....Of course, the "right" numners are never a guarantee with re: to a princess...especially when the crown and pavillion info isn't known....but I'll bet that that stone has got a great chance of being a super performer. GOOD JOB!!!!!!!

And p.s.- you were clearly looking at the wrong chart on that union diamond princess, b/c that one was a 1A. BUT, I think this guy is even nicer...good job!

wow, big difference between this stone and the previous one you posted. i second what MORE said that it has the specs to be great stone. i am curious where you found this stone at if you wouldn't mind telling us. also, another thing to benefit you in great heaps is requesting a light-scope report, that would aid in checking out light return. im interested to find out what this stone would do!! keep us posted Jason if you break your bones come to me I will fix you right up! |

hello again, I ran a search here on PS and found some nice diamonds. if you haven't ran a search here you should try and you can sorta use that as a range for good price vs bad price. anyway, just for one example there is a diamond from dirtcheap, it has nice number's but like everyone has said on here, numbers aren't everything. there is just one thing that i would ask the "real" experts here and that is the table percentage being 64%, it is low which is supposed to be good. however, i think i read on here sometime ago that if you go too low it will be glassy or something like that. anyway, ill leave you the link and you can play with it if you wish...either way the stone is 2600 which is significantly cheaper than what you are paying. anyway, play around and see what you like!!! jason http://www.dirtcheapdiamonds.com/diamond_detail.cfm?did=2116954&ref=PS622 if you break your bones come to me I will fix you right up! |

I recently purchased a princess cut diamond and in my search discovered that I prefer my depth and table in the the high 60's, low 70's (I bought a stone with a 74.1% depth and a 71% table). One thing I discovered is I like to see more of the pavilion. I would have LOVED to find a stone with a depth around 71-72 and a table in the high 60's, but my stone was too good to pass up. At any rate, while it seems the majority of people prefer small tables I agree with Jason that you might want a stone with a slightly larger table (if for no other reason to show off more of the cut). When my B/F and I took my stone into the appraiser he also said that he prefers princess stones in the low 70's--he said that, in his experience, they just tended to look better to the eye. At any rate, I think you found a good stone, one that might be worth calling in. I would also look at the DCD stone too!
