Hi, I got to keep my engagement ring after the groom got cold feet 3 weeks before the wedding. it's been years now and I'm doing quite well. However I'd like to have a new piece of jewelry made with the diamonds on the ring. how can I find a reputable place to do this? any advice? thanks

If you post the location you are looking in, people here may be able to help you with their past experiences.

Also, you may wish to ask a reputable independent appraiser listed here.  It worked great for me.

I mentioned I was planning a 10th anniversary ring for my wife to my hairdresser. Immediately her and all the girls in the salon rattled off jewelers that had made rings for themselves and customers. LA? You should have lots of choices.

Sandra,

Where are you located in Los Angeles?

I have a FANTASTIC jeweler that I use to create new pieces for myself. He has a large stock of settings and is very talented at creating whatever you'd like. For recreations and beautiful items - he is fabulous!

His prices are unreal as well. Very reasonable. He doesn't have a fancy Beverly Hills or Downtown office, so he doesn't have the overhead.

I had a bracelet with five amazing .30ct diamonds. The bracelet was not my style, so I had him remove the stones and add them to a gorgeous necklace he had in stock.

Send me a PM if you'd like information about him. He's certainly worth checking out.
