So we're looking at this lab report which goes with a diamond that we sourced on behalf of an in-store client who found it here on PS and then asked us to bring it in to our store for them to see and we can't help but find ourselves "amused" by the statement "EGL Ideal Plus" as stated in the line pertaining to Cut Grade. Is this an indication that we're going to start seeing "degrees" of ideal cut? The proportions by the way are as follows: Total depth 59.9% Table diameter 58% Crown angle 33.9 degrees Pavilion angle 40.9 degrees Reference: EGL USA 25567504D GP; 1.46 carat, H, SI-3*** *** NOT part of our stock!!! We re-iterate, this diamond was brought on by request by a client who walked into our store... It's making us ITCH

Hi R&T Don’t know why you don’t like the stone. Seems to fall into the range of traditional idea cuts. So what’s new, besides FIC’s; and BIC;s and TIC’s the good lads from the Moscow “Indaba” and the clever cutters are going to bring us all “The Non Traditional Ideal cuts” Perhaps the labs can call them “Practical Ideals” Johan Diamond Exchange Ltd. ---------------- Just because our normal selection process is "extremely" precise and the extent of the inclusions is beyond our normal parameters... We're adjusting to reality, that's all ![]() Todd L. Gray, President |
