Hello All, hope everyone has been doing well. Just a quick question regarding certification. I recently took a 2.06 carat round and had it appraised by a GIA graduate gemeologist here in FLA. The stone received the following grades: I color I1 clarity girdle diameter 7.5-7.60mm Depth 5.35mm girdle very thick cutlet none table is 55% 2.06 carats.......I was reading off of the appraisal so I hope you can understand the terms I just listed. My question is does Flourescense effect clarity, it has strong blue flourescence(as stated on appraisal) but it is "eye clean".....also the stone cost me $6,000....thanks for all of your help LADEOUX

The cut of this diamond is shocking. It has a depth % of 71% and the girdle must be extremely thick. Run away unles you want to buy cheap dead glass. Garry Holloway FGAA DipDT |

Hi Ladeoux, Is it round diamond? If it is, then 71% is too much indeed. Fluorescence doesn't affect clarity. It is good for the color - diamond should look whiter. Eye-clean for I1-clarity? Could you see inclusions with the naked eye? Pricescope |
