OK, so what does it mean when a certification for a princess cut stone lists that it han an "extra facet" ??? Is that good, bad, or just plain ugly?

Extra facets are common and are used to remove a small imperfection on the outside of a stone. They are generally very small and on the underneath side near the girdle. I would not get too worried, but as always - have your purchase checked first by an appraiser. Garry Holloway FGAA DipDT |
