Hi All, Who are the vendors that I should look at for small diamonds? I want to have them set in a watch bezel. Anyone know of any particular vendors that would be able to help me out. Many Thanks For Any Info You May Have, JDam ![]()

Whiteflash makes small, precision cut pieces and Dirtcheap Diamonds has a listing of 'smaller side stones' that seems to correspond to what you need ![]() Is the job going to be done locally? Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen." [Souren Melikian] |

I was also wondering about this - are there people out there who can set diamonds into watch bezels?

What a great idea. My mom has an Omega watch with diamonds on the outside of the face, and to indicate where the numbers are. While it's a very pretty watch and it does sparkle, the diamonds that Omega uses are not the absolute best quality stones. They actually give you a little certificate for the diamonds. It's kind of interesting because they use totally different terms to describe the cut and color. I'm interested to know how this project progresses. Please keep us informed.

---------------- The usual question is "is the bezel of the watch thick enough to receive the stones" ? I suppose any jeweler who can set pave or burnish diamonds ito rings would do the same with a watch of precious metal - steel or Ti is another question, but why not ![]() Ana "The greatest experts are only as good as the sum total of what they have seen." ---------------- If this bezel is for a Rolex watch, and you want an orginal Rolex diamond bezel, it would cost you a fortune. I best advise is to buy an after market with nice white stones. That's what I did with my watch. It cost me $950 for my day/date model. It's a really nice copy. You can't really tell the difference from the orginal. it is always harder to find a "mind clean" stone than a eye clean stone. |
