I would like to get a high deductible insurance for wife's ring to keep the premium reasonable. My current insurance does not offer anything higher than $1,000. Can anyone recommend other insurers I should contact? TIA

You could check with your homeowner's insurance. I just insured my ring and it is relatively inexpensive. With no deductible and to cover the cost of the ring ($13400), it is only about $108 a year. This covers against theft, mysterous loss and damage, ie. chipping. They also take it out with our monthly insurance so you don't notice it.

That's what I currently have, but the premium is a little higher than I'd like to pay. I think it's about $700 or $800 per year for ~$45K coverage w/ $1,000 deductible. I really think that nothing is going to happen to the ring, but I would like a stop-loss type of insurance for a peace of mind. Unfortunately, State Farm does not offer anything higher than $1,000 deductible. Any suggestions on who to call? TIA
