OK It was brought to my attention in SHOW ME THE RING that the HEAD looked as if it were "CROOKED"...Upon further inspection I now see it....What is my recourse?

I bought the Stone from One Place
I bought the shank and setting from another place
The Place I purchased it SET the STONE

Everyone was very helpful etc.....just dont know exactly how to proceed.

That definitely looks a bit off, but not uncorrectable. Did you talk to the setter to see if it could be re-aligned? This would be my first step. I'm sure the store would not complain a bit about having thier jeweler re-align it and would probably apologize for not noticing it left them like that. They might even be able to correct it while you wait.

BTW, in pic #4, on the left side it appears that the seam between the ring and the head shows something along the boundary. Was that just a reflection on the shank or is this a visible solder joint? A visible solder joint is not normal, and would perhaps indicate that maybe it was re-soldered by the setter for some reason?

Otherwise it looks like a very competent setting job. Was the setter perhaps just unfamiliar with setting asschers?

I took a look at the ring and yes it looks like a solder joint.

I have to call Solomon Bros as i have yet to do so...I also think that one of the prongs looks a little bit OFF am I seeing things??

the top left prong looks slightly higher in these pix, but maybe its just the photographs?

funny, sometimes i thought that my prongs looked off and then i realized if i turned the ring around, it looked that way either way. so it was just the way i was viewing the stone, eg not absolutely head on all the time.

but i would have that checked out too, just to make sure.

I am a bit demoralized now that i see the imperfections

Solomon Bros who i bought the stone from and had set the stone is in ATLANTA while i am in the Outer Banks in NC....not exactly a quick visit to get things addressed...

Should I have it checked out with THEM or an OUTSIDE Party??
