Just wanted to post my IS image. I will post more info a bit later today. Hope this fuels the fire for asscher lovers?

Hope it posts.

Ver nice, Beansy!! Luv the steps in the Assher cut!!

Why use a big word when a diminutive word would be succinct!

The intense red in the middle of the stone looks fine to me. The picture seems better than most peers listed for similar stone sin the "expert selection" at Whiteflash. Another example also caught my attention with a nice IS pic... HERE it is.

I am not sure what to make of the dark 'ring' in the picture you have posted. That should be a particularly reflective area of the stone, I guess.

Sorry guys, this is the only picture I have so far. Whiteflash is doing a custom setting, and it is killing me knowing that it is probably finished as we speak.

I have to wait for the boy to give it to me. It will probably be after April. He has to go back to Alaska for work for about 6 weeks or so. I think it will be hard for him to keep it a secret longer than that.

Here's the specs...and a very heartfelt thank you early for Denise, Bob, and Mara.

G
VS1
D: 70.8
T: 58
5.53x5.52x3.91
1.05
G: Thk-VThk
No culet
P: good
S: very good
Fluor none
GIA

That's all I have for now, but I will be sure to post many, many pictures once we finsh.

Maybe the experts will chime in about the darker ring in the center? It must be leakage?

We've seen the stone in person, and I can tell you that although the circumference sparkles like crazy, the table is spectacular. Even a customer next to us when we were viewing the stone said she was getting blinded a few feet away.

No light loss there... black just means light reflected at a near vertical angle from the pavilio: a flash of light. The dark area explains the look of the stone you describe. Reading my post I see it does not sound very enthusiastic: I just wanted to say that few other stones have such promissing IS profiles

Which setting is this diamond getting?

Valeria,

No hard feelings here, I am actually grateful for your interpretation of the IS image. I am grateful to everyone here, truely, because without you guys, I wouldn't have gotten half as nice a stone.

Bob is doing a platinum, 2.5mm band width, (5) .03's ACA melee on each side, bead/prong set setting. I cannnnnnnooooooooottttt wait.
