I hope that I'm not violating forum rules by posing this question... but here goes. I'm in the process of purchasing two diamonds in the $2-3,000 bracket each. I was wondering in dealing with an on-line retailer, how much "room for negotiation" (if any) should I assume in the pricing? Thanks. Brad

It depends on the particular vendor of course but many of the internet diamond brokers are working for 5-8% above cost. So you could see how much could you really save in your price range.
