We went to Derco on recommendation of several friends. Perhaps we are the ONLY one's that had a terrible experience, but it only takes one!

After spending several hours to choose the loose diamond and setting, we left extremely excited, looking forward to receiving the special order setting within 3-4 weeks later. After 7 weeks....still no setting AND not one phone call made to us to explain the delay. We constantly had to call and get a status.

We definitely felt that we were most valuable to Derco when we were buying the stone, but after that, they completely dropped the ball and made NO efforts for damage control. When we finally cancelled the order, not even the Mgr. came out to apologize. The sales person gave us her usual run around, but there seemed no interest from anyone else.

Perhaps they have sooo many customers they don't need our 20K that we spent. Whether one is spending $200 or 20K, the level of service should be high. Ironically, a young couple who had seen us in Derco and another shop in the building, stopped to ask us our opinion of who to buy from. By now, you don't need to ask whether Derco was first on my list.

Please think twice about shopping at Derco in SF

I am sorry for your experience.

Hopefully, you will find the diamond of your dreams and you can get your ring made in a smooth manner.

Why use a big word when a diminutive word would be succinct!
