I stumbled on this website while doing research www.brayscore.com Does anyone know anything about it? Is it an HCA knock off, or a totally separate thing? I looked around the site and didn't learn much, so I thought I'd come ask the experts. Thanks.

Mara found a European model of the HCA. It scored diamonds a bit differently than the HCA, but performance ratings were very similar. This BrayScore is geared more toward people in the industry rather than regular folk. The end result would be a number value. The closer to 1000, the better. I particularly liked this statement on the home page: "Manufacturers can use the cut score to raise the value of bottom end inventory that doesn’t normally get submitted for the gemological report process." 
Why use a big word when a diminutive word would be succinct! |

It is kind of a points based system for craftsmanship / symmetry. It has nothing to do with correct proportions etc. Nice guy
