Hi all, First let me preface this by saying thank you to all that helped guide me along the diamond buying experience. As suggested on this forum I had the diamond Independently appraised by a (GIA NAJA AGA) accredited Gemologist. He had no prior knowledge of the IGI report the came with the diamond. The diamond purchased was a 1 ct Round Brilliant Solitaire in a cathedral setting (6.8 grams of pt 950 Platinum)from Sam's Club Regal Elegance Collection. I paid just over $5000.00 with tax and it was appraised for $8335.00. The appraisal was done in the setting. Here are the vital stats. IGI Independent Carat 1.0 1.01 Color I I Clarity VS(1) VS(1) Cut Class H&A Ideal Ideal B1 Depth 60.40% 60.86% Table 55% 55% Crown Height 15.5% 15.2% Pavallion Depth 42.5% 42.5% Cutlet None None Girdle Thin Med Polish EX EX Symmetry EX EX Thanks again for all your help.
