What is the WORST Halloween candy that you RECEIVED as a kid??

Smarties were the worst for me. I mean, what says Halloween like rolls of pastel, chalk flavored, powdery "candy"?? I so infrequently got candy, I ate it anyway.

Almond Joy and Mounds, because I can't stand coconut, and I always hated when people gave me raisins or oranges.

I loved smarties!

I hated those peanut butter or weird peanut buttery flavored candies that came in waxed paper (they were brownish taffy - anyone recall?).

I also hated getting anything root beer flavored, 'old-people' hard candy, and RAISINS!!!!!! I hated getting raisins LOL. But now I love raisins.

I think they were called peanut butter kisses. The chewy coating with the blobby center.

I love smarties too (what'f wrong with you STS)...

I hate taffy and candy corn!

My favorites have to be snickers bars, twixs, peanut M&Ms and almost anything chocolate!

What's wrong with me?!?! How can you NOT like candy corn??

btw- Smarties look like little "club pills." How responsible is giving that to a child?? May as well be giving them those candy cigarettes.

Black Licorice.

(I LOVE candy corn, though! I just can't eat too much at once or it gives me a headache.)

Didn't care for tootsie rolls (I liked them ok, but they were cheap so everyone got them and we ended up with a TON!  They got old fast), those weird peanut brittle things that others have mentioned, anything black licorice, raisins (love them any other time of the year, but the point of halloween is the treat), butterscotch, and anything with coconut.

I also loved getting the fruity things more than the chocolate and used to trade with my brother who liked the chocolate more.  :-)

It seems like a lot of people didn't like a lot of the same things.  What were things that people loved?

I loved Starbursts, skittles, smarties, sweet tarts, milk duds, nerds, tootsie pops. . .there has to be more than that!  I basically loved the fruity loaded with sugar flavors. :-)  And 15 years later, I still do.

I really hated the mystery hard candy that old people gave you.

BEST candy ever? Twinkies and mini loaves of bread from Hostess (apparently that house worked for Hostess).

the worst 'candy' I remember seeing are the little packages that tell your kids that they need to find Jesus... but the worst candy ever is circus peanuts. Okay - it's not halloween candy but they're nasty lol

I must be the only one who LOVED the peanut butter blobby wax things.

Popcorn was the worst.  Nothing ruins a holiday that is all about volutarily induced sugar comas like a bag of overheated veggies.   I love popcorn, but there's a time and a place (which is NOT October 31, in my pumpkin bag).

I never met a candy I didn't like

My beef, was more with the "health conscious" nuts in the 'hood.

You know the ones...instead of candy, they'd hand out something useful...like a pencil. Oh joy...a pencil for Halloween...great, I can draw myself a tasty candy bar and enjoy that instead

My kids get jesus packets and every year one house gives us a coupon to a free karate class at their studio.

As a I kid, I'm pretty sure I loved all candy.  I've become more picky as an adult.

My older son loves everything. . . my younger doesn't like coconut, so I eat his almond joy bars.
