I'm going to be setting a .45 (or so) stone. Which Beverley K setting do you think would look best? Also, I have size 7 short fingers.

one

another

DH likes this one but the price is too much.

another one

And this one

Thanks.

Oh the by the way, I'm not concerned about my stone looking bigger for the sake of looking bigger than what it is. I'm concerned about it not looking lost in a setting. It's not a perfect stone but it has a lot of sparkle and it means a lot to me.

Thanks for your help.

Personally I think the first one will swamp your stone. I like the halo and the second one. Probably like the second one best then the halo.

Oh yeah!!! That's the best one yet. And with a PS discount it might be within budget.

Have you looked at Saturn Jewels? They make this style of ring, but I'm not sure how the pricing is... Saturn Jewels

Here's one that looks a lot like the one you just posted.

p.s. did you see my reply to your other thread where I said Pearlmans sometimes sends settings out for customers to look at if they don't have a dealer nearby?

Oh great! What a relief. Thank you for telling me that. I was wondering how that would work. Will they send you more than one at at a time?

They have offered up to 15% previously. However sometimes the website price is not up to date, so check with them first. They will also match any other prices you can find so if you find it cheaper at any other business they will give you that price. So shop around!

Another vote for the halo.
I recently searched Beverly K rings on eBay and a couple of setting were listed including the one your DH likes

Wow I haven't see that halo before! The gallery is gorgeous. That gets my vote...it is very delicate and would not overwhelm your stone IMO. It seems that you tend to gravitate more towards solitaires though. In that case, I like the last one that was posted. Have you looked at tacori at all? Slightly different vibe but with a definite vintage feel.

Tacori is out of my price range, I think. But they are gorgeous!!

Halos are beautiful. But I am attracted to styles that are close to what I had originally. I lost my first set. It was hand engraved 5 stone ring with diamond center stone, tapered sapphire baguettes and two small round diamonds.
When I went back to the store where I got it, a small store in the diamond building in Boston, they laughed me out of the place. They feel my handed down stone is small and at this point in our lives we should be able to "upgrade" to a big flashy stone.

Oh puhleease!! How sickening That sort of thing really gets my goat. They don't deserve your business. I'm glad they're not getting it. I wish there was a 'sticking my tongue out at them' emotie.

End rant.

I've been looking for the diamond district in Boston. I feel like I've looked at every jewelry store in Boston but I'm missing this giant chunk, but I don't know where it is. Can you help with this?
Oh, and I love number 4 and the Saturn one. There are a lot of Saturn rings in Barmakians, but I haven't heard good things about their customer service. Worth a trip to try things on though.

I really like this one a lot!  The first I would fear losing a .45 in that setting.  I personally like halos but if you are more drawn to ones without I would pick the one I quoted.

Sorry that somewhere "laughed" you out.  Around here at least .5 is the average size of stone my friends wear.  There are very few above 1 locally so I would be mad as all get out.  We're looking to create an upgrade and I am looking at .5-.75  So far not a single person has laughed at us for that size.

Wow! So many gorgeous settings!!!

I love two that are pretty different, actually--- one is the 5th option from your original posting ("And this one"-- the halo) and the other is the "This one takes my breath away".

I'm excited to see what you choose- with the settings you're choosing between, it's going to be gorgeous!

The one that your DH likes is in platinum. Maybe BK can make it for you in white gold.
