Does anyone have experience with Kirk Kara vendors?  I'm located in Bristow, Virginia and have been getting price differences on a specific platinum halo setting for an anniversary upgrade anywhere from $6k-$10k?   That seems insane to me.  What kind of mark-up variant is that?

Does anyone have any reccomendations of Kara vendors that they've worked with on PS?  Or is there a way to buy direct from Kara?

I am not from your area so I cannot help with that part.  I was looking at a few different Kirk Kara settings though no halos.  They were about $3-4K at our local jeweler.  They were all from the Amelia line which I know is one of the least expensive.

I do vaguely know the area you are from.  What jewelers have you gone to?

I've called for pricing:  White & Ivory, Whitemarsh Jewelers, and Harry Merrill & Son in Philadelphia.  For the cheapest of the Carmella settings w/o a lot of ct weight or side stones in platinum I've been quoted prices +/- $10k.  This seems like a ton for the setting? Anyone have any experience with the markup for Kirk Kara retailers? Or referrals to retailers with honest pricing?

Charleston Alexander, wherethediamondsare.com, in Falls Church lists Kirk Kara on their website.  I have bought several things from them and they are competitively priced.

Hi BristowVA-

I am a customer care representative at Kirk Kara and recently came across your post.  I would like to explain possible causes to the pricing inconsistency and guarantee that you are quoted the correct retail price by your authorized Kirk Kara retailer.

All of Kirk Kara's rings are sold as semi-mounts (meaning that they come without the center stone), and each Kirk Kara ring is handcrafted to fit the exact measurements of your center stone and finger size.  Sometimes, an authorized Kirk Kara retailer might give you a standard stock price for a design and not the custom price calculated precisely for your center stone, finger size, and any other modifications you may request. Also keep in mind that metal prices fluctuate in the market. For these reasons, pricing differences may occur between retailers.

All Kirk Kara rings have a standard suggested retail price and all Kirk Kara retailers are required to follow our guidelines. The Carmella Collection style 6996-R is our least expensive engagement ring with diamonds around the center stone and starts at $3590 in PT in a finger size 6.5 and does not include the center diamond.

Please contact us directly through our website with the styles you are interested in along with the center stone and finger size details.  We will do our best to assist you further.

Also, please note that Charleston Alexander is not an Authorized Kirk Kara Retailer and unfortunately, you will not be able to purchase a Kirk Kara design from this store. Thank you!
