Hey! i normally post in BWW, but I wanted to try to get the word out. Montgomery County (texas) animal shelter is closing today. Adopt for free today 12-4. They will be killing all animals without a home which is current 30 cats and 80 dogs left. Spread the word, save an animal's life! A friend told me about this and so I just wanted to try to spread the word. If any of you live nearby and could use an extra pet, this would be a really nice thing to do.

Is there any way to confirm this? A friend made a couple phone calls. 1 person said the county shelter is not closing, the city's (Conroe) is closing. When she called another number the person said all that is happening is that they are moving under the City's jurisdiction, but when mentioned what was mentioned here, all they said was no, that's not what's happening. If someone lives nearby, maybe they can find out what is going on.

I just received an email from a co-worker about this. Apparently they are no longer calls because the phone is ringing off the hook. If it is a rumor about the euthenization, then I'd love to know where they plan on moving them. Most of the shelters in the city of Houston are extremely under manned and under funded. I don't know who could take them, other than a lovign home. ___________________________ |
