Its so difficult to find one!

I am looking for a beautiful black & white set.. I cannot describe the pattern I am looking for but its sort of swirly elegant. Does that make sense? I would really like to begin to purchase forever pieces.. our next home will certainly be very important to us, and I'd like to begin collecting some pieces to make a house a home.. starting with our bedroom WHICH WILL NO LONGER BE AN OFFICE FOR MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!! I want to create a beautiful relaxing place for us to retire at the end of the day.. period.

Please help.. !!!

SDL....this one isn't quite what you described but I think it's elegant http://www.easternaccents.com/bedsets.asp?CollectionID=518&CategoryID=39&f=

I bought my bedding from them. It's pricey but exceptional quality.

Oh honey, the pattern is almost exactly what I want. This would do beautifullly!! I am aiming at a very elegant black and white room with uhm.. pink accents. Hey.. if the rest of the room is going to be art deco elegant, I can add some amazing pop of color, right?!!! You're wonderful, thank you.. and btw.. every time I see your avatar, I giggle.. it just completely warms my heart. I miss Brutus every time I see your baby.

*eta.. how in heaven's name do you get prices?

oooooooooooooooo your design plan sounds awesome. I've redone most of the house in an art-deco meets contemporary meets organic style and decided to do the bedroom in Hollywood Regency style. Draperies & nightstands will be here in the next two weeks. I bought this bedding for the room, minus the bedskirt. Drapes are a deep chocolate velvet sort of like the bedskirt(sorry for the threadjack).

SDL, I think this has your name all over it! You can buy it from Dillards or Amazon.com, however, Dillards has it on sale through September 20th.

Here is the reverse shown with the hot pink! I think I might buy one, but I'd probably pair it with red or purple. I like to buy my own fabric and have Euro shams and pillows made, that way it doesn't look like it was a store display or from a magazine spread.

SDL, Eastern Accents is only sold to the trade, as in by interior designers and the like. And that means $$$$ because a lot of designers charge cost plus, which means,  you'll pay for the cost of the bedding (and shipping/handling, etc) and then a percentage to the designer.

Is there a design center in San Diego?

That kind of pattern can be found by searching the word "Damask". One of my favorite patterns, I have red velvet throw pillows in it. Beautiful.

Its hubby's favorite style.. the art deco look. I think if it were up to him, we'd have decorated the entire house in the Bogart Collection from Thomasville.. its simply elegant. :) I love that bedding, btw.. gorgeous.

We do have a design center here.. I wonder if my friend who does interior design can find this for pricing... Hm... :)

SDL, I think you already decided to get the one Penn mentioned (and I love it!), but that set Matata posted is $1836 for the Cal King!  You could change your bedding 9 times at Dillards for the same money!!!  (I loved the Eastern Accents things, too, of course, but I can't spend $2000 for a comforter set!).

I wanted to let you know that the price went back up to $400. But that's just at dillards, you can also order from amazon.com and maybe a few other places online, but I don't knownif you'll be able to get a deal on it. I do have some Rose Tree bedding and I can attest that it's worth it.

That's good to know it is a good brand, Penn!  We may buy a new house in the near future, and I'll be asking you for some decorating advice since you have such a good eye!

Thank you, Penn!  We are about to buy a new house (there are spec houses that have been sitting for months because they overbuilt before the economy turned bad, so lots of good deals out there...just not exactly what I would build). I'll start a thread with your name in the title once we get started with the furnishing part!

Good luck with your project, SDL!  I think that comforter set is beautiful and hope you can get it!

This is fun!  Here's some more -

http://www.home-decorating-co.com/rose-tree-bedding-stoneleigh.html  This has some of same colors as in your picture!

http://www.home-decorating-co.com/prescott-bedding.html  This is probably my favorite.  It's not black white but beige/gold with black accents.  Love the chrysanthemum motif!

http://www.home-decorating-co.com/rose-tree-townhouse-bedding.html another black white floral version

http://www.home-decorating-co.com/croscill-boulevard-bedding.html   kind of old hollywood glamour
