Hello, I have run into an issue of having TOO many settings to choose from. The soon to be FI really likes the classical tiffany's BUT has also really liked some pave rings where it shows a touch flashy but not over the top.

I have a budget of about 2K for the setting. Any settings you have seen lately which might be up her alley? And yes, shes going to want me to pick the setting, shes the type who drops hints and wants me to do it versus picking it on her own. I have also contemplated putting the beautiful 1.03ct Emerald cut into a solitaire and letting her pick the final setting, but since we are headed out of town for the proposal I want it to be what she wants.

I really appreciate the help everyone has provided on PS. I really have enjoyed participating in the community and will come back here for all jewelery help!

Thank you for pointing any out you think are good settings, or places you feel are the better online stores for settings.

Much appreciated!

Geoff

Thanks for your kind words Geoff, much appreciated!!

Is there a way you could sneakily find out which setting she prefers?

Well, Ill see what I can do. Shes sent me some prictures in the past so ill try to digg those up.  I am mainly curious on what companies I should check out.  Whiteflash is great but I am just not seeing the ideal setting on their site.  Any thoughts to quality places that will sell settings I can browse on?

Ill also post some images of what shes mentioned before...

Thanks!

Where are you getting the stone?

Something like this might be nice...delicate but wit a little flash...

This tacori would be one of my favorites...I think a PSer has this and its beautiful.  I'll see if I can
find the link.

Actually here is the stone....

Emerald Stone

I like that Tacori setting.  I think she would like the bling factor on that ring and for the size of the center stone at 1ct, that smaller halo might be nice.

Ill have to find out from my local retailer if they have one is stock to look at!

I think she would really like the Tacori styling, although her first initial pick a while ago was the Tiffany's Baguette Classic setting which is much more simple.  But, shes likeing the pave settings that have more flash to them.

Thank you all for the suggestions so far, ill def. take a look at pearlmans as well!

This is a great site Knox Jewelers

They do great custom work, too. I'm sure if you found a setting you like they could adapt it for an emerald, if it wasn't originally designed for one.
