Can I evaluate RB diamonds that are hearts and arrows only? Or can diamonds with "excellent" or "very good" symmetry be analyzed as well

That is an assumption. It is suppose to be use as a weeding out tool not selection tool.

That is what I am trying to do - eliminate the ones that don't score well. But I am not sure if a diamond is not H&A should I even run the numbers through the cut adviser or eliminate it? The AGS report shows AGS 000 next to Light performance, Polish and symmetry

Date: 7/21/2009 8:21:37 PM Sure! A diamond does not have to be H&A to be well cut/pretty! Author: mayo1209 That is what I am trying to do - eliminate the ones that don't score well. That is why it is an assumption. You assume it to be ideal symm, then if it perform badly even with that assumption on the HCA, can it perform well in real life with less than ideal symm?

The AGS report shows AGS 000 next to Light performance, Polish and symmetry Just in the first instance eliminate the ones which score above 2, then evaluate the ones which do with ASET/ Idealscope images, that is all the HCA is meant for. No way to tell if a diamond is h&a without images. ![]() Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be... - Stephanie M Thorn |
