does anyone ever buy a diamond that's >F color, VVS2 in clarity or is that a tad too much for an engagement ring?

yes there are ppl that want a VVS and won't go lower...depends on the person. Personally as long as the stone is eye clean, I don't care if the clarity is an SI.

I would not care personally as long as it was eye clean. I have always liked warmth in a diamond as well, but that is just me.

I have been contemplating an L that I am waiting to see in real life and in a setting to see how I like it. While waiting, I watched these two videos that nicely show the differences between colors.

I can't see the difference between D and F in real life scenarios. D and J are different, but I still needed to see the D next to the J in order to say that it wasn't quite colorless. This was looking at unmounted asschers in a shop against a white background. I would think that the difference would be less noticeable when set and viewed from the top.

Yes, some people do. My e-ring is D-VVS2, but then i'm colour sensitive.

I think its personal preference. Buy something within your budget that you are completely happy with! :)

Good luck

Yes, it is completely down to personal preference.  Some will only consider D IF, others want max size so they choose G or H VS2 or I and J colour SI clarity.

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between horse and rider...no other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, very existence dies also...but that can never be laid to rest, it is not meant to be...
