Not unless you really know what you are doing and even then it's probably questionable IMO.

If you are asking us. that is a big red flag to me.  The answer is NO.    Do the research, get some knowledge... After that??   I will still tell you no.  Not for the faint of heart, and you lack info, so yes not a good time to invest....

Diamonds are a great gem to collect, invest in, etc if you know what your doing. In no which way shape or form touch them if you don't. You can get really burnt. I love diamonds and own many fine pieces. As far as an import export business these days, wouldn't go near it. Just friendly advise from a collector!

Do you have good contacts early in the supply chain, to be able to acquire goods without too much overhead?
Do you have the knowledge to recognize quality goods?
Are you able to price said goods acurately?
Will you be able to cut them well and at an affordable price?
Do you have contacts in the wholesale market to sell said diamonds to?
Do you have access to sufficient money or credit to build up a stock, develop your contacts, pay your employees/outsourced services and keep some money in the cash box for everyday expenses?
Have you drawn up a careful businness plan, showing how you will do all the above?
Have you researched your market to understand what it needs, how it needs it and how you can deliever on both?
Do you have the businness expertise to run an enterprise with a very significant investment (ie., legal knowledge to be able to understand your lawyers, enough accounting to understand your accountants, etc)?

And, the key question: What can you offer that other players can't? (or why clients should stop doing businness with their suppliers and start buying from you)
