I have a question regarding the affect that carbon crystals (so small that it is somewhat hard to find them with a 10X loupe) might have on the color of a diamond.

1. Could carbon crystals this small affect the diamond color? There are only 2 of them.

2. If they could affect the color could the affect be noticable only in certain light? (ie. regular indoor lighting.)

The diamond is as white as can be in most lighting, especially sunlight and halogen, but not in indoor evening lighting. Could this be my imagination or that particular lighting??

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Most probably the color of the ceiling is the color you are seeing in your diamond.

Try repainting the ceiling pure white

OK Cut Nut, what's your beige joke?? Since your wife went out with you again after the joke, how bad can it be?

Okay, out with beige joke.

IceLady, it would be very unusual for two dark crystals to have any effect on the body color of the diamond.

Thanks Rich, for your response. Now that I am reassured regarding carbon spots, we gotta move on to the important stuff...LIKE the beige joke!!!

Come on Cut Nut, out with it, you've piqued our interest!

Geeze, Rich, I hope we're not sorry we asked!

Hey,

I think this may be like that old joke. "How do you keep a turkey in suspense?"...... and I'm still waiting.

You can't always get what you want,
But if you try,
Sometimes,
You'll find, you get what you need.

Some of you have heard this I think?

3 types of women - and how does a man know which type he is with while they are doing "the deed" ?

By what she says:

1. the prostitute says "faster faster" (looks at watch)
2. the lover says "slower slower" (eyes closed)

Read on:

3. the wife says "beige, beige! i think we will paint the ceiling beige!"

Icelady, why did you have to ask?

Ugh! (red as an IdealScope's gut)
