Recipe for Alcoholic Popsicles ;) ???

bebe Ideal Rock Total Posts: 1,992 Last Post: 11/21/2009 Member Since: 11/20/2007	I just made margarita popsicles and I also made coconut/pineapple with strawberry chunks (rum added). Anyway, I was kinda winging it on the coco/pineapple ones. I know with the addition of the alcohol that makes freezing an issue. I can't find much online to help me. I want to make some more, but I don't want to waste my time and booze!! Any ideas? Ever done this?

Otherwise it works sometimes. They sell kits for making alcohol popsicles, so it can be done. I think you just have to find the right mixture of stuff. Can't be toooooo much alcohol or it won't freeze right at all. Good luck!

But the margarita ones are still not frozen solid. And they were the ones with the recipe!

The book has recipes for alcoholic popsicles in it. The author suggests soaking the fruit you want to use in the rum first before making your popsicles, or add very little booze to the popsicle mixture so that the other ingredients freeze around it. We've set a date! 11/06/10 "Heaven smells like horses."
