Just can't help myself sneak peek at my cup shape eternity band

D&T Ideal Rock Total Posts: 7,501 Last Post: 11/24/2009 Member Since: 10/27/2008	After many months of deliberation of my e-ring reset for the third time in less than one year, I finally decided on one item of business I knew for sure I wanted after trying it on at Jareds with a slight modification which was a full eternity bar set cup shape. So here is one half of my reset done by The famous Brian Gavin in 18k yellow gold 5 points x 18 for a total of .90 cts H/I signature melee. Ring size 3 7/8. Thanks Brian and Lesley - I'm super excited to wear this beauty!

I think so I found an inspration pictured from another vendor site and the cup shape term just stuck with me...lol ETA: its considered bar set or other jewelers have deemed them channel set as well ETAA: oh, i didn't want to dare call it a uternity as it's not as pronouce of a a "U" shape as the beautiful U shape eternity out there on PS

When I think of channel set, I imagine a piece of metal on both sides of the diamond that form a ring. Cup sounds like it's meant to be worn when out drinking at a pub. Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

I get it on my finger tomorrow I'll be wearing the bezel band on my right hand, and also when I'm outdoorsy hiking, water sport, gardening (I guess more like weeding) and once my DD is old enough, it will be passed down to her maybe in her teens - she loves mommies jewelry.

I definitely think your band is bar set, not channel set, and I also think "cup shape" is correct. U-prongs have a low profile that shows the side of the diamonds, and while yours does too, the inside of your band is also curved. It's quite unique - I love it. If I were to pick an eternity band for myself, it would be bar set!
