Hi All,

Earlier, I posted to see what everyone thought of a particular diamond. Turns out I had linked to another thread, not the diamond!

Anyhow, I would really appreciate it if I could pick you guys' brains to see if this is a quality rock. Here's the correct LINK

It's on hold - the image still works.
Please let me know what you all think. Any feedback would be much appreciated! I'm waiting on the idealscope image which I'll get shortly, and I'll post that too. THANK YOU!

Carat weight: 0.91
Cut: Ideal

Ask for an ogi scan and an IS image and a copy of the report.
Something is off but cant tell if it is the pic or the diamond itself.
Plus a large part of the pic is cut off in the viewer.

Here's the GIA report. I've requested the OGI scan from Darin at JA.

Thanks!

Numbers look good. Cloud as grade setting inclusion, should ask if eye-clean and if it affects light return.

I believe this was the diamond you suggested, Stone Cold! I just remembered...

Looking at the arrows, do you see any "obstruction" problems?

I will ask Darin if it is eye clean. He's been really helpful so far!

The diamond in the posted report will not show obstruction, no need to worry about that.  Obstruction is only normally an issue with some shallower crown and pavilion angled combos.  Check that the grade setting cloud is not impacting brilliance by asking JA's gemologist to check it.

Ditto, no worries about obstructions issue in this stone.

Oh, also ask about if the fluor results in the stone looking oily/hazy. Small percentage of that happening but no harm checking to make sure.

...and here's the idealscope image!

I emailed Darin about the strong fluor. Thanks for everyone's input so far! Please do continue critiquing...

Looks great!  Shouldn't be an issue with the strong blue fluorescence either as negative effects are very rare, I am sure you will be ok - nice diamond.

Thanks Lorelei - I know I don't have the most fantastic budget for a diamond. Darin at JA just told me he can only hold this until tomorrow. I'm going to assume it is a safe buy unless anyone else objects. Here is the magnified image that he just sent me (but is still cropped at the bottom..hrm.).
